5/21 - Me & My Best Bud

Here are a couple of shots from my cell phone camera I found the other day. They're of me and my best bud, Dexter. In fact, they're some of the last pictures of Dex around. Dexter left us last November, after nearly 14 years of being the best dog I guy like me could have asked for. I adopted him from the EC Humane Association in August of 1994 when he was only 12 weeks old, and I was only 24. He saw me through EVERYTHING-- a guy goes through a lot of changes between ages 24 and 37, you know-- and did it with that happy-to-see-you look in his eye and wag in his tail. We're coming up on 6-months now that we've been without him. I still miss him. Here's to you, Dex...
