5/5 - Mindy: Before and After

One of the many cool things I get to do while on the job is the occasional meeting of the famous folk. Now that doesn't happen all THAT often, but every now and then a new artist will swing through the big metropolis of Eau Claire while touring radio stations (which they hope encourages us to play their song... and, most times, they're right...). While I was working for our country sister station back in the early 90's, a young lass named Mindy McCready stopped by our little radio ranch to do a few songs (Guys Do It All The Time being one of them) in our conference room. I, of course, got to meet the lovely Ms. McCready, who at the time, looked like this....

Holy cow. Hubba hubba hubba. A lovely young lady, no? These days, though, as you may have heard, she's had-- how shall we put this-- she's gone through some rough times. The latest being that while she was serenading me in the Maverick Media conference room she was also having an affair with the married major-leaguer Roger Clemons. Toss is a few DUI charges, some assault and battery charges (against her mom, of all people), and-- viola-- here's what Mindy looks like these days...
Yikes! Is that even the same person?!? Wow. More proof that if your latest publicity photo is a mugshot, things have gone horrible off course in your career... |
