6/23 The World's Ugliest Dog?

That's Gus. He's a Chinese Crested. And he's also the winner of the 2008 World's Ugliest Dog contest. His owner, Jeanenne Teed drove him all the way from Florida to California to take part in the contest. For their efforts-- or for Gus's being so photogenic, shall we say?-- they get $500. Which Jeanenne says she's going to spend on treatment for Gus's skin cancer. Poor guy. Hey, he may not be the prettiest thing out there, but I'll bet he's a real sweatheart. Probably a ton of kisses when Jeanenne gets home. (He does look like he might need a mint or two, though...) After all the excitement, Jeanenne says she's going to guess the first thing Gus wants to do is... nap. I'm guess he'd probably like to find a fire hydrant... then nap. |
