7/3 - Amber Waves of Grain?

I was out hiking with the dogs Tuesday afternoon, and I happened upon this field near our house. Some years, there's corn growing, but this year, it's just been the natural vegetation taking over. I know what's growing isn't "grain," but from a distance, if you don't know what you're talking about, it almost looks like you're driving through Kansas. (Okay, not really, since the landscape is MUCH more flat in Kansas wheat fields, with almost no trees to speak of...) Anyway, I snapped this photo, which turned out kinda cool, considering it was taken with my cellphone camera. We may not have purple mountain majesties, but does this not look like the proverbial amber waves of grain?
