8/13 - Zing! Boom! Tararrel?
|
So if you've been to a Brewer game at Miller Park, during the 7th Inning Stretch, they always sing Take Me Out To The Ballgame and the Beer Barrel Polka. Here are the lyrics:
Roll out the barrel, we'll have a barrel of fun
Roll out the barrel, we've got the blues on the run
Zing! Boom! Tararrel! Sing out a song of good cheer
Now's the time to roll the barrel, for the gang's all here!
Now while I've sung "...roll out the barrell..." probably hundreds of times already, I never noticed the line "...Zing! Boom! Tararrel!" in there. But sure enough, all 42,000 there at Miller Park went ahead and sang it with gusto...

Zing! Boom! Tararrel! What does that mean? Couldn't find another word that rhymes with 'barrel'? How about, "buy more Brewers apparrel?" Or, "This one's for you, Carol..." Maybe it's German. I'm going to try to work it into my everyday conversations. "Zing, boom, tararrel, Sue, that's one spicy meatball! Go on, try it... you know you want to! |
