8/27 - The Scene Of The Crime
|
Did you ever have one of those do-it-yourself projects that starts out to be a relatively quick affair, only to have it turn into a much more involved situation? I'm the king of those very kinds of projects. Like yesterday. After some fine soul side-swiped my back bumper in July, I finally got the touch-up paint out yesterday to see if I could fix some of the superficial scrapes. Keep in mind I've got a red car. Really red. "True red" is the color the dealer calls it. Well, wouldn't you know, I dropped the bottle of paint on the floor in the garage, and, of course, it shattered. Red paint all over the floor. So not wanting to wait for the red splotch of paint to dry on its own (and have me, the dogs or my wife track it all over the garage, deck, or the house), I tried to wipe it up with a white rag. The result made our garage floor look like a crime scene:

Now I don't know if I should try to cover it up with some grey paint, or just leave it as it is-- which resembles something out of CSI: Lake Wissota. Although it does give the garage a little personality. Morbid personality, but personality. |
